Today, Tuesday May 29th, 2007, the 44 General Chapter elected the Animation and Government community who, with Br. Superior general, will lead the Institute and the Lasallian Family to answer the Challenges we encounter, to go to towards Horizons that we appear in the distance, and attempt to put into practice, all together, the Lines of action stated by the 44th General Chapter.
Br. F. Álvaro Rodríguez Echeverría was reelected with enthusiasm by the Capitulants yesterday, may 28th may.

Let us pray for the recently elected community that they have recourse to the prophetic dynamism which is still alive in the spiritual heritage that has come down from the Founder. By being open to the Spirit, and by a process of discernment, they determine how to provide for our spiritual renewal, and for what is needed in various situations and how to respond to new apostolic needs. (Cf. R 117).
