 Happy Feast of Saint John Baptist de La Salle: On May 15, 1950, Pope Pius XII proclaimed Saint John Baptist de La Salle the Patron of all teachers and student teachers. In this proclamation he said, "John Baptist de La Salle, a man of great holiness and natural gifts, not only educated young people himself but continues to do so through the excellent principles and practices he established in the Society he founded." As Lasallians all over the world celebrate on May 15th the feast of our great Founder, please know that my prayers and good wishes are with you and that I pray that our Holy Founder will continue to watch over the good work that you do for children and especially the poor.
May God who watches over all of His work with such loving care, continue to bless you as you continue to do his work.
