INTERNATIONAL LASALLIAN CENTER (CIL)

Formation sessions for the next few years include:

A session for Accompanying Elderly Brothers which takes places in Laval, Canada from May 26th to June 21st. Since this being offered in French and English only, there will be another session scheduled for Spanish speaking participants at a later date.
A CIL session in Rome on Lasallian Charism for Brothers in Midlife from November 17, 2002 - March 14, 2003. This session will be repeated in 2006-2007
A CIL session for New Formators November 16, 2003 - Mid-March 2004.
Two sessions for Formators for the Lasallian Mission will be held in 2004 and 2005.

Following the 42nd General Chapter of 1993, the International Lasallian Center offered the following sessions:

Four sessions, each lasting six and one-half months in 1993-1994, 1994-1995, 1995-1996 and 1997-1998. All of these sessions were directed towards the renewal of the participants. The program title for these sessions was: "To be sisters and brothers in and for today's world". One-hundred fifty-seven Brothers and 9 Sisters participated in these sessions.
There was 1 eight month session in 1996-1997 for the training of those persons involved in formation. Forty-four Brothers and 3 Sisters participated in this session.
There was one SIEL (Lasallian Studies) session in 1998-1999 for the training of those involved in spreading the Lasallian message. Over the course of the program's 6 modules there were 116 participants of whom 71 were Brothers, 42 were lay persons (13 women and 29 men), 2 were Sisters and there was 1 priest.
 The session for 1999-2000 was aimed at the renewal of the Lasallian mission and the theme was: "Associated together for the educational service of the poor". Included was be a two-month experience of mission and four months of study, interiorization and community life in Rome.

The CIL staff works under the auspices of the Brother Superior and his Council and in coordination with the Committees and Services that are involved with the different programs which CIL offers.
