"The Brothers' community makes known to the rest of the educational community the essential elements of the Lasallian tradition. The Brothers offer to those who desire it, a more intensified sharing of Lasallian spirituality, encouraging such persons to make a more specific apostolic commitment."

(Rule of the Brothers of the Christian Schools, Article 17)

This History section includes a history of Saint John Baptist de La Salle [watch video], our founder, some pictures with biographies of our saints and blessed, a presentation on the 26 Superiors who have governed our Institute, and  a history of our Institute.

The Formation of the Brother is based on our belief that "Each vocation arises from the mystery of the unique encounter between God and the person who is called. It is developed and sustained in turn by the pastoral ministry of vocations, initial formation, and continuing formation extending onward to advanced age." (The Rule, Chapter 6)

This section is about our Lasallian Spirituality, inseparably linked to the life-story of Saint John Baptist de La Salle and the world-wide educational movement which he founded.
