During the International Symposium for Young Lasallians, delegates from around the world called for International Lasallian days of sharing and prayers.  It was believed that these responses and international Lasallian campaigns would also facilitate and strengthen connections between Regions.

ICYL invites all Regions, Districts, Young Lasallian Movements and schools to come together for an International Lasallian Day of Prayer for Peace.  Young Lasallians are being encouraged to, in their own school, group or district, in their own way develop ways to show solidarity with our brothers and sisters who are in areas of conflict and who are suffering unjustly.  

This project is being planned to be taken up in unison by as many members of the International Young Lasallian Community between the 15th and the 21st of October with activities having a special focus on Sunday 21st October 2007.

It is with joy that I join with the happy initiative of the International Council of Young Lasallians who, following one of the orientations of the last Symposium, wish to devote the week of October 15th to 21st – with special emphasis on the last day of this period   -   to a repeated and common prayer from all Lasallians for peace.
