International Lasallian Day of Prayer for Peace
De La Salle College - Cottonera - Malta
15th - 21st October 2007

We are very pleased to have this opportunity to share with the rest of our Lasallian Brothers and Sisters on an international level our commitment to pray and work for a world of Peace.

Proposed Activities

Primary
        - Pupils will be invited to write prayers on slips of papers, and these prayers will then we released in the sky attached to either helium balloons or doves as part as a ceremony commemorating ILDPP.

Secondary
Age 11-12    - Peace awareness through Art and Crafts.
                     - Religion lessons for the week with a special focus on the different dimensions of Peace and Conflict resolution.

Age 13-14    - Letter to Maltese and International Politicians calling for Peace or Conflict resolution in specific areas.

Age 14-15    - Night hike leading to a vigil of night prayers
                     - Youth Mass with special intentions for Peace

Post-Secondary
Age 16-18    - Compilation of an information leaflet to raise awareness about Peace and the International network of Young Lasallians.  These newsletters will then be distributed to the general public for awareness raising in popular areas in Malta on the day.
