Second International Symposium of Young Lasallians
Sunday - July 30, 2006

Thank You Note from the Stearing Comity
of the 2nd International Symposium.

As we conclude the 2nd International Symposium for Young Lasallians, whose slogan was "Mission Possible: A Shared Dream," the coordinating council would like to thank all the participants for their dedication and generosity in the good running of the days spent in Rome. The atmosphere of fraternity was most evident and thanks to it the Symposium developed very well and it was to everyone's satisfaction.

We would also like to thank those who made possible the presence of so many young people in the Symposium from all over the world and those who, in the background, helped us, especially the Brothers from the Generalate's Central Community.

Given the fact that the Symposium represented a giant step in making people aware of the need to continue establishing a Young Lasallian movement on different levels, we are, cordially yours,

Txus Sánchez

ROME – In every dream, the last act is always the most beautiful, the part that is imprinted on our hearts forever. This dream has a world-wide quality, 150 hearts that have shared a dream together for one week. The last act of the 2nd Suposium of the Lasallian Youth Movement was the one that was most engaging.

Brother Alvaro left the young people with words of hope for a future full of meaning only to the extent that they turn to the poor whom we are called to serve through education. The final Eucharist was animated by the whole assembly of young people with great enthusiasm and passion.

The final party was held in the courtyard of La Salle school.  Everyone was delighted with the spectacle of colors, music, games and dancing while the Brothers and parents served the dinner.  La Salle’s dream continues in the story that young Lasallians are writing and will continue to write in which this Symposium has been a fundamental stage.
